Twinfield Together Mentoring Program (TTMP) &
Twinfield After School Program (TAS)
The Mission of the Twinfield Together Mentoring Program (TTMP) is to provide all interested youth in our community an opportunity for a one-on-one friendship with a responsible, attentive and nurturing role model through a mentoring relationship. This mission is supported through three mentoring programs:Community Based Mentoring, Everybody Wins! literacy Mentoring, and Peer Mentoring. In addition, we now offer the Peer Leadership program, which gives high school students an opportunity to educate younger students on important topics, and develop leadership and facilitation skills.
Overview: The AmeriCorps Member will collaborate with the TTMP Program Director to support mentoring relationships across all three programs, enhance outreach and public relations for the mentoring program, and support the Peer Leadership program. The AmeriCorps member will also collaborate with the After School Program Director to operate existing programs, plan future programs, and design/run new and engaging clubs with 7-12th grade students. The member will support youth during a “third space” time to teach, mentor, and learn new and engaging activities.
Hours: 35-40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. Variable schedule with occasional weekend and evening events.

(Activities planned will depend on the skills and interests of the AmeriCorps Member, but will include physical activities)

Responsibilities:
Support mentoring relationships
- Recruit, train and support mentors in the peer mentoring program.
- Support matches in the school based mentoring programs with weekly on-sight check-ins.
- Organize weekly activities for matches to access during the school day.
- Co-facilitate the Peer Leadership Group with previous AmeriCorps Member Fiona Zahm
- Support matches in the community program with quarterly group activities and events.
Enhance outreach and public relations for TTMP
- Enhance pre-existing public relations systems.
- Develop a social media public relations plan with the support of the TTMP program director and advisory board.
- Implement the social media plan.
- Communicate the TTMP story through social media, website, and local news outlets.
Collaborate with After School Program Director
(Activities planned will depend on the skills and interests of the AmeriCorps Member, but will include physical activities)
- Engage students throughout the day to further develop relationships during the afterschool programs.
- Bring personal interests and apply them to after school clubs and activities in creative ways.
- Organize and provide one-on-one or small group activities for students to access during the day and after school.
- Help students organize and plan their own ideas and apply them to student run clubs.
- Expose students to healthy activities and a broader world-view with new experiences.
- Organize and implement healthy activities for students to access during Twinfield’s Summer Learning Camp.
